Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mechanically harvested annually around April/May, Eden Valley’s olive oil is made from individual olive varieties that posses their own unique aromas and flavours similar to a fine wine. Timing is important, so we press our olives locally allowing the rich, pure, fruity flavours to be squeezed freshly from the olives making a premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The EVO Advantage

MMM it's fresh!

Compared to the olive oils you buy off the shelf, Eden Valley Extra Virgin Olive Oil tastes different mainly due to its freshness. All olive oils left over time (usually more than a year) can become rancid and loose the flavours they originally possessed as light and air are the enemies of taste and freshness. Whilst we’re used to using imported oils to cook with, they are mostly flavourless because of the time it takes to get from the press to the shelves. But with local oil, we can now enjoy our olive oil at its freshest, full of the flavour we will all grow to expect when adding it to our salads and using it in our cooking.

Other factors that set Eden Valley’s oil apart from the rest include:

  • Olive Varieties - Through DNA testing we were able to plant specific top oil varieties! These olives then can be pressed for their individual attributes or blended to give variety.
  • Ripened Longer - We are able to leave our olives on the trees a little longer enhancing the various flavours.
  • Timed Pressings - To ensure no spoilage our olives are taken straight from the trees to the local press where the latest equipment is used to extract the oil.
  • Personal Touch - We are a family business and it’s our personal commitment that ensures all our olives are of the finest quality!
